Joan Feikema, Founder/Executive Director
Joan Feikema is the founder of The Healing Tree, a Healing Ministry established in 1999 in response to the Lord’s calling in Genesis 2:9a and Revelations 22:26.Joan took the Elijah House Basic Training with John and Paula Sandford in June of 1991 and The Advanced Training in June 1992. She did an Internship from January to March 1995 in Post Falls, Idaho at Elijah House, Inc. In June1995 through April 1999 Joan worked as a counselor at Life Center for Spiritual Growth. She taught a Ministry of Inner Healing and did Prayer Ministry in a local Grand Rapids church from 1988 to 1993.
Joan’s other Training experience have been Theophostic Basic and Advanced, Cornerstone Prayer Ministry (Art Zeilstra - Ontario, Canada), Thrive 1 and 4, Care Internship from Baldwin, Michigan, Tom Hawkins - Restoration in Christ Ministries (Basic and Advanced). Arthur Burk Spirit Healing and The Wounded Heart Training with Dan Allender.She has facilitated three Live Basic Schools and one Live Advanced School with Elijah House teachers. From 1995 to 2008 she has facilitated fourteen Video Schools. She traveled to Helsinki, Finland to do Elijah House Prayer Ministry in September 1997 for 4 weeks. Also traveled to Combermere, Ontario, Canada to help facilitate a Basic One Video School and do Prayer Ministry from 1998 to 2000. She has also done Basic Schools in Traverse City in 1999 and Canton, Ohio in 2004.Joan has walked in the Holy Spirit since she experienced the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1974. She has been married to Donald Feikema since 1956 and has three children.
